Panjab Radio is an energetic business offering entertaining radio programmes to listeners throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide on different platforms. The company, which is based in Hayes, originally started out in 2000 and has many years experience in the media industry profession.
With a team that includes 30 experienced presenters, front of house staff and sales persons, Panjab Radio has strived on team working, a positive working environment and cooperation within the team, and are interested in like-minded individuals to join the team. Panjab Radio has an expanding client base, based in and around Greater London, including private organisations, charities and Asian businesses.
Our Mission:
To provide a high quality broadcast service that informs, entertains and actively represents and promotes the Panjabi language, heritage, culture, traditions, music and artists, acting as an agent of cohesion through which all Panjabi’s can unite and flourish.
Many years ago, there was not a single radio station in the world that catered solely to the needs of the immense Panjabi population. Panjab Radio was created in the year 2000 in order to fill this colossal gap, for a 24 hour, permanent station that provided 100% Panjabi content.
Panjab Radio offers an eclectic selection of shows which cover, cultural, religious, social, community, entertainment and news, including a vast selection of Panjabi music; from the latest British Asian Bhangra to Folk songs fresh from Panjab.
Since its launch Panjab Radio has gone from strength to strength. What started off as a small dream; is now the most popular Panjabi radio stations in the world. Dedicated to helping the community, Panjab Radio has been part of a number of charity organisations that seek to better the world in which we live. For example Panjab Radio supported the ‘Nav Nirmaan Project’ which aimed to rebuild the homes of those individuals who were displaced in the 2001 devastating Gujarat earthquake, by raising over £200,000 through on air campaigns. A part of the money was also donated to NGO ‘Help the Aged’ in India to run a mobile medical unit in Jalandhar, Panjab.
